Number one on ice

Marathon Skating Team Palet Schilderwerken has been active in national marathon skating and long-distance skating since 2012. Our team is one of the most successful women teams in our national marathon skating peloton.

Both in ice skating rinks and on natural ice, beautiful victories have been achieved throughout the past seasons. These victories include Dutch Championships, Alternative Elfstedentocht (a long distance marathon on Weissensee in Germany), World Cup participation, Dutch Championship on natural ice and KPN Marathon Cup.

Since 2016, our team has been working together with the Skating Area Fryslân to train young talent for becoming the new generation of marathon, long distance (3 and 5 km) and mass start skating.
